Two lucky players from the Whistle Bear Junior Performance Team are the recipiants of a thrilling prize package. Julie Whalen and Brooke Sharpe are shown accepting a certificate from Bob King, Regional Vice President for Manulife Financial Group Benefits. The lucky pair were selected from 10 elite junior girl golfers that make up the Whistle Bear Junior Girls Performance Team. As part of the gift pack is the opportunity to spend the day walking inside the ropes, with the LPGA stars at the upcoming LPGA Manulife tournament at Grey Silo GC in Waterloo. Girls team coach Carrie Vaughan thanked Manulife representative Bob King for what she called " an opportunity of a lifetime" Carrie who is no stranger to being inside the ropes is a former LPGA player and and Futures Tour member.
The Whistle Bear Junior Performance Team is made up from a group of 48 young golfers who traine at the Whistle Bear GC and the Golf Performance Center. These players enjoy 10 months of instruction from team coaches as well as fitness and mental training from experts in these fields.
